Gas-fired infra-red heaters emulate the true efficiency of the sun by generating radiant energy that is converted into heat when absorbed by objects in its path. Once the infra-red energy is absorbed by the floors, machinery, stock and people, it is then re-radiated to warm the surrounding air. Agricultural Marketplace



Detroit Radiant Products is pleased to offer a full line of low intensity infra-red heaters specifically designed for the Agricultural Marketplace.  Agricultural products are sold and supported through separate and specifically trained product distributors.

Tube heaters have known operating benefits and are commonly applied in swine, poultry, brooder and dairy applications.  Further efficiencies can be achieved through the use of two-stage heating equipment.  This includes reduced operating expenses, reduced on-off cycling, improved animal comfort and the ability to change BTU outputs depending upon animal size and changing weather conditions.  Benefits include improved animal performance, reduced fuel consumption and improved longevity.

Infra-Red Heater Safety Council



The Infrared Heater Safety Council (IRSC) was created by gas-fired, infrared heating equipment manufacturers, to enhance user safety through education of building inspectors, fire authorities and end users on safe practices.

Infrared heating technology has a long history of safety and has been widely used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, fire stations, vehicle service facilities, and aircraft hangars. Like all gas burning products, infrared heaters have installation, operation and service procedures that must be followed to ensure safety.

Designed to serve the needs of the HVAC Wholesaler and specific Agricultural markets and applications, UNIVERSAL-RAY® is a complete line of both high intensity and low intensity infra-red radiant equipment. Product scope includes the AG Series and RH Series of low intensity tube heaters which range from 20-foot to 60-foot lengths and BTU inputs of 50,000 to 175,000. The high intensity product offering, called the IR Series, ranges from 30,000 to 130,000 BTU ratings.
